Blackmagic Design ATEM Studio Converter 2

Studio Converter 2 from Blackmagic Design is a converter that transmit SDI video signals via optical fiber and convert the signal to SDI for the usage with video switchers. If you use this unit with ATEM Camera Converter, you can send video signals, up to 28 miles between camera and switcher via the available optical fiber cables. As a comparison, distributing the same signal via the traditional copper cable can only span for 300 feet.

When setting up this Blackmagic Design Studio Converter 2, you can connect between the switcher, up to 4 ATEM Camera Converter units. This setup allows this device to accept the signals from any fiber cable which then converted the signal to SDI via 10-bit processing, and send the signal to the switcher. This device can handle SD/HD signals, as such when using the available ATEM Camera Converter, you can use any camera with the SD/HDMI output.

his Blackmagic Design Studio Converter 2 also has the function as 4 independent simultaneous bi-directional SD/HD-SDI to optical converters. On features, there are built-in mic input, speaker and a headphone jack that gives Talkback Audio for communicating with camera operators. As for OS Compatibility, this device can work with Mac (OS 10.7 and 10.8) and Windows (7 and 8). The power requirement is at 110 - 220V AC, 50/60 Hz with 12 - 31 V DC redundant input. IEC power cord is required but not included.
