Converting from SDI 4K/UHD signals to the HD or SD resolutions is the main function of 4K2HD 4K/UHD to 3G/HD/SD-SDI and HDMI Downconverter from AJA. The connectivity has 4 SDI Input, 1 SDI Out, 1 HDMI Out, and 1 USB port. This device offers an efficient and high-quality conversion and monitoring. Features that can be used on this device such as Real Time Down Conversion, Simultaneous HD-SDI and HDMI Output, High Frame Rate Support, and Center-Cut Extraction.

On the Real Time Down Conversion feature, this 4K2HD works in real time processing with the high-quality scaling algorithms to downconvert the 4K or UHD signals (using 4 x SDI connections) to HD Resolution. As a result, users will have great HD images for the on set monitoring or the direct-to-air broadcast. Moreover, with the Simultaneous HD-SDI and HDMI outputs, this product can have the dual output of HD-SDI and HDMI on the live condition concurrently. Therefore, users can have both professional SDI monitors and cost-effective HDMI monitors at the same time.

In addition, the 4K2HD also comes with High-Frame Rate Support. It means, that this device provides High Frame Rate (HFR) 4K Inputs and converts the HD output to the matching frame rate for best viewing. That is why users will have the same quality to what is seen. Another important capability is the Center-Cut Extraction where it gives the easiness for users to configure this device to extract the HD resolution center cut from the 4K input. Hence, there will be a one-to-one pixel image that can be used to check focus on the 4K shoots without the need for a full 4K monitor.
