For those who require faster data transfer speeds, the d2's aluminum unibody enclosure supports a separately sold 128GB SSD, boosting speeds up to 1150 MB/s. The d2 is equipped with dual 20 Gb/s Thunderbolt 2 ports, each of which supports bi-directional data transfers, as well as one 5 Gb/s USB 3.0 port, which also supports USB 2.0 at speeds up to 480 Mb/s. Any of those ports may be used to interface with your compatible Windows or Mac system. LaCie has designed this external drive to operate using AC power, which is provided using an included external power supply. Also included is a Thunderbolt cable and a USB 3.0/2.0 cable, and protection is provided by a limited 3-year warranty.
